Welcome our New Crisis and Referral Volunteer Advocate, Anabelle!

VSS is pleased to welcome Anabelle Martinez as our newest Crisis and Referral Volunteer Advocate. Anabelle is an undergraduate student at Seattle University, where she is majoring in Criminal Justice and Criminology. When she is home from school, she also serves as an individual provider for her grandparents, reflecting her commitment to supporting others both personally and professionally.

Anabelle enjoys building LEGOs, walking and exercising, and listening to music. In her free time, she loves reading fantasy novels and is currently immersed in The Maze Runner.

Her interest in victim services began after taking a Victimology course, where she recognized how profoundly underserved many victims are within the legal system. Motivated by this insight, Anabelle chose to volunteer at VSS to help make a meaningful difference in the community.

She looks forward to working with the team and learning how to best support individuals seeking a safe space to share their experiences and needs.
