Join VSS for The Lights of Remembrance, a meaningful gathering to honor missing persons and those lost to homicide. Families, friends, and community members are welcome to come together for reflection and remembrance during the holiday season.
For many, the holiday season heightens the sense of loss, making this event especially important. The Lights of Remembrance offers a space where people can connect, honor the lives of our loved ones, and find strength in community, shining a light of hope and resilience against violence.
This is a family friendly event and we encourage you to come hungry, as dinner and refreshments will be provided. There will be time for crafts to decorate candles and ornaments as a way to find comfort in remembering and celebrating the lives of your loved one, even during a difficult time of year. There will also be a brief candle lighting ceremony with a chance for sharing, and a memorial slideshow.
Lights of Remembrance is being held at the Firefighters Hall in Everett on December 6, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 PM. Please reserve your spot no later than November 29. This event is limited to 30 people.
Please feel free to bring a few photos of your loved one for the crafts projects. After you RSVP, if you’d like your loved ones photo to be included in the slideshow, please email them to [email protected].
