Victim Support Services Awarded $200,000 Grant to Launch the NAVIGATE Program

Victim Support Services is proud to announce that we have been awarded a $200,000 grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce to establish NAVIGATE – Navigation-Enhanced Advocacy for Victims of Juvenile Offenders.

Through NAVIGATE, VSS will provide specialized advocacy and support to victims of juvenile crime as well as their loved ones. Services will include individualized needs assessments, guidance and orientation throughout the criminal and juvenile justice systems, and connections to community resources.

The program will also strengthen outreach and partnerships with juvenile justice professionals, victim service providers, youth-serving organizations, and other community partners to increase awareness of and access to services for victims of juvenile crime.

We are deeply grateful to the Washington State Department of Commerce for investing in this important work and entrusting VSS to help address a significant gap in victim services. This funding will allow us to ensure that more victims and families receive the information, advocacy, and support they need to navigate the aftermath of crime.
