Landen was a fun, quirky 14 year old boy who loved hanging out with his friends, music, video games and McDonalds. He loved his family, his mom shared that even in his teen age years he wasn’t embarrassed to get hugs and kisses from her in front of his buddies.

March 2006, Landen and two friends were cautiously walking along a country road coming back from the small local store when a tow truck struck and hit Landen from behind, throwing him a long distance into a barbed wire fence. Landen was rushed to Harborview and died the following evening from his injuries. The tow truck driver was charged with vehicular homicide as he was high on heroin when he struck Landen.
