Board Member of the Year

I met Tom Cox three years ago when I joined the board for Victim Support Services. Being a law enforcement officer, we are sometimes skeptical of attorneys who work in criminal defense. Tom immediately disarmed me with his charm, devotion, and dedication to improving victim’s services in Washington State. Tom’s commitment as our vice-president and executive board member has always been demonstrated through his generous contributions of time and resources to the benefit of the agency and our greater community.

Staff observe that Tom does so much for the agency and you can tell he truly cares about the victims, and that he always shows up for agency events and offers to help out. Tom, as described by another VSS team member, “is an overall likeable guy.”

While Tom’s role will change with VSS as he continues his career path in criminal justice into the judiciary, and we may not see him as often, both the board and staff are grateful for Tom’s spirit and friendship.

Congratulations, Tom, on being chosen as VSS Board Member of the Year!
