August Employee of the Month: Janet Quiroga

A huge congrats to Janet Quiroga for receiving August employee of the month! Janet was hired on as a Hotline Advocate in September of 2017 and months later, in June of 2018, Janet was promoted to Hotline Coordinator.

As Hotline Coordinator, Janet plays a big part in day to day operations of the 24-hour hotline, monitoring calls, texts, mentoring hotline advocates, and helping train new hotline staff and volunteers.  Janet embodies what it means to be a true mentor and help others.  Her peers and co-workers say that Janet is always very helpful and friendly.  She also goes above and beyond, most recently helping with our Jurassic Par Golf Tournament coming up on October 5.

Janet’s supervisor, Leslie stated, “Janet is always on top of things and never hesitates to help.  When there are multiple projects at hand, she prioritizes and completes tasks quickly and efficiently.”

We are extremely grateful that Janet is part of the VSS team! We value her and all that she does for victims of crime.  Congratulations, Janet!
