🎉 51 Years of Service. 51 Years of Standing with Survivors. 🎉

Today (February 25th), Victim Support Services proudly celebrates 51 years of serving victims of crime across Washington State.

For more than five decades, we have walked alongside survivors during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, providing free and confidential services rooted in compassion, dignity, and justice.

We meet the needs and gaps in our communities by offering:
✨ One-on-one legal advocacy
✨ Media intervention and support
✨ Assistance applying for Crime Victim Compensation benefits
✨ Resources, referrals, and community education
✨ Wellness workshops and restorative retreats designed for healing

But what truly defines 51 years isn’t just the services, it’s the people. It’s every survivor who found strength in being heard. Every advocate who answered a late-night call. Every partner who stood beside us to ensure victims’ rights were upheld.

We believe that no one should have to navigate trauma alone. We believe in listening without judgment, advocating without hesitation, and showing up, again and again, for our community.

Because when we support victims, we strengthen families.
When we uphold rights, we build trust.
When we invest in healing, we serve entire communities.

To everyone who has supported our mission over the past 51 years. From clients, volunteers, donors, partners, and staff, thank you. Your belief in this work makes it possible.

Here’s to 51 years of impact… and to continuing to stand beside survivors for many more to come. 💙
