Welcome to the Team, Kenisa!
Victim Support Services is pleased to announce another new member to our team, Kenisa!
Kenisa will be working as our Information and Referral Specialist primarily responding to calls that come through our Referral Line providing crisis intervention, emotional support, safety planning, resources and more, in addition to other tasks. Although a new employee, Kenisa is no stranger to Victim Support Services as back in 2020 she started volunteering for us dedicating her personal time helping individuals hurt or harmed by crime. We are excited to welcome Kenisa in this new capacity!
Kenisa is a Certified Peer Support Specialist and has experience with crisis management, behavioral health, and social services, to name a few. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration of Mental Health.
In her spare time, Kenisa enjoys spending time with family, outdoors exploring and gardening.
When we asked Kenisa what she looked forward to most about working for Victim Support Services, she said, “I have a strong passion to help others in need and I look forward to working with VSS so I can do just that! I’m so excited to begin this journey and can’t wait to see what opportunities this position grants me!”
We will end this with one of Kenisa’s favorite quotes.
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?” By Martin Luther King Jr.
Welcome, Kenisa, we are ecstatic to have you continue your victim advocacy journey with VSS!
