Welcome our new Crisis and Referral Advocate volunteer, Ezri Noe!

Welcome our new Crisis and Referral Advocate volunteer, Ezri Noe! Ezri will be helping Victim Support Services by speaking to individuals hurt or harmed by crime that contact our Referral Line looking for services. She will provide crisis intervention, emotional support, safety planning, resources and more.

Ezri received her B.A. in Psychology from Northwest University in Kirkland and works as a Community Relations Manager where she assists in project development for community projects and charity-driven business models, develops management materials and protocols, and fosters social connection through social media outlets. In her personal time, Ezri enjoys gardening, yoga, listening to podcasts, and being creative! She has always loved the arts and is currently learning how to paint and draw. She has a lot of hobbies, but her favorite way to spend her free time is by surrounding herself with her friends, family, and cat, Tuffy.

When we asked Ezri what she is looking forward to the most about volunteering for VSS, she said, “I am looking forward to joining the team at Victim Support Services so that I can implement my passion for victim advocacy. I am eager to learn more about the legal system in Washington State so that I can assist individuals in accessing legal services, as well as other community sources, such as professional counseling. I see this volunteering experience as an opportunity to learn and apply my skills to help my community.

“My passion and interest in victim advocacy was ignited a few years ago when I first began listening to true crime podcasts that focused on partnership with victim’s families; these podcasts placed a heavy emphasis on empathy and sensitivity and advocated for victim rights. I continued this interest by completing an honors thesis titled True Crime Podcasts: Analyzing Ethical Principles, Advocacy, and Sensationalism. Now, my goal is to put my interests into action by becoming an advocate!”
