National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims

Last Wednesday, September 25th was National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims.  In 2007, Congress designated Sept. 25 as the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims.  Robert and Charlotte Hullinger, of Cincinnati, formed Parents of Murdered Children following the 1978 murder of their 19-year-old daughter, Lisa, while she was studying in Germany. The annual day of observance is on the date Lisa was murdered. The annual National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims gives us all the opportunity to remember those lost to homicide, and honor their memories. IMG_25382

This Year Victim Support Services help two events in honor of National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims, one in Bellingham, WA on Wednesday September 25th, and another in Lynnwood, WA on Saturday September 28th.  Both events gave those effected by homicide a chance to gather and remember their loved ones.  We want to thank everyone who came out to participate in both events.  As always, it is truly an honor to share in these special memories of those we will never forget.  You can see pictures from both gatherings on our facebook page.
